 History of SI
SI was originally formed 12 April 2005 with mostly Aussie and Kiwi members. In 2005 SI merged with Immortal Vigilantes (an opening day guild) and Aspects of the Dragon. Later mergers included Blades of Honor, Whim and Ability, Geek Legion, Ascending Order.

During Vanilla and BC SI was usually one of the top 10 progressive guilds, even though they remained a casual raiding guild without a raiding requirement. MC, Onyxia, BWL were all completed before any nerf for upcoming content. As new content (ZG, AQ, Naxx) came out SI continued to complete most of them until BC.

When Burning Crusade came out, the guild was excited to move on to new content. Unfortunately slowly people were having issues in real life that had to be dealt with. Even so SI still managed to down many bosses in the BC end raids, but this is where the story took a sad break. Real life was taking it's toll on too many of SI's core members. Whether it was losing jobs, getting married, having kids, going to school, health reasons, or just boredom with the monotony of the game, too many people had to leave WoW completely. Some never returned, some did eventually.

Until September of 2011, the guild remained a very casual non-progressive guild. Guild Leader was transferred and after a merger with Possessed, the guild started to grow again.

In May of 2013 Guild Leadership was transferred again and while we stayed alive, though the MoP slump hit hard. We raided when we could and hung in there with many loyal guild mates until 6.0 neared. At that point many people began to return and we grew again in leaps and bounds. We lost our Aussie friends to the new realms and gained many new friends from other realms.

Currently we are only a casual guild, but are always open to bringing in players from anywhere in the world.

Our new forums were started on 27 Sep 2011. If you are interested in the old forums, they are located here.
